  1. Your debate about the "one of kind" possibility is very interesting but do you know that all the U.S. cars which were sold even by the official agents in Belgium were "one of a kind" cars as in the majority of the cases they were ordered on special order. In 1967 we purchased two cars, a 1967 Buick and a 1966 Ford Mustang... The Mustang was a White 289 Coupe Automatic equipped with Pony, console and ........... Rally Pack. I was looking to find the same one even in the U.S. but never was able to find one exactly the same. The Buick was a Skylark Coupe - I do not remember the engine! - but not a GS. It had the skirts and a console with the shift. Never I was seeing one again. We also purchased in 1956 a Buick Super Riviera, in 1962 a Buick Electra 225 Coupe, in 1972 a Buick Centurion Coupe, an Oldsmobile 88 Royal Diesel 4 doors in 1978, a buick Riviera in 1980, all were on special order. Only the older ones: 1946 Chevrolet convertible, 1947 Hudson, 1948 Buick Roadmaster, 1950 Buick Super and 1954 Buick Roadmaster were standard, also all the Corvairs I was purchasing from 1962, except one 1962 Monza 4 doos I was purchasing to a US citizen here in Belgium. It was a car prepared for Canada and it was possible to get a screw on it for the car become amphibious. I always have some pictures of the Mustang, the Skylark, the Olds, the Riviera and the Monza but nothing can be seen especially from the exterior.
  2. Yes, I remember this beautiful car was for sale during a few years, it was proposed by its owner Scott Wolf from Florida just 2 years ago for US$37,500
  3. John Maddock is selling his Reo Royale 8-35 Victoria through an add in HMN but always without pictures: REO: 1931 Royale Victoria coupe, restoration project, last driven 1982, restoration started and has been stored in Seattle; extremely rare, Full Classic as recognized by the CCCA, some extra parts, missing door handle, fender light, clock, great potential, $15,000 obo. 206-218-5240, WA; Price: $15,000 If I search on Google, there is also an other telephone number ........... near Forth Worth, TX, let 817-301-9195, as apparently the car is in Rockwall, TX. The car! it is a great word because we never have seen a picture of it. In which state it was on September 20, 2010, when he posted the history and in which state it can be now four years later??? WE CAN NOT PURCHASE A CAT IN A BAG !!!!
  4. Sorry, I was not finding that. but do you not appreciate my comments about the pictures? It was the case some times ago with a Dragon Peerless some people whated pictures. It was offered and perhaps sold through Ebay and guys were giving the URL. The offer was closed from long time then nothing is appearing with the URL. Fortunately I had the pictures and the text.... but I am not interested by all the cars and I do not be there all the time so I think the others if interested by some cars they are knowing they will disappear to do like me. Sincerely, Philippe L. Hulet de Limal Senior Bailiff Orval (Florenville), Belgium
  5. Where were you seeing such rules Justin? it seems the number of your posts only are such ones, it seems you have time to lose... For me the price is not indispensable in the first ad. It is like the dealers who are not giving the prices in their websites. Some people can be crowded and prefer to discuss with the eventual buyer before to want a price for something they have cherished during years, sometimes a life. I already said in some pages of this forum that the Ebay URL is not interesting but put the photos given in the ebay page is more important because the URL is cut after a cetain time. I can say the same thing regarding other local ads' publications where the pictures remain one or two weeks and disapear just when you wish to look to them. If the ads refer a name and acess contacts, they must be added to the AACA form ad too, it will be easier and a security too.
  6. Hello! I had one of 1980, the same.. I always have 4 original wheels with their good tires...
  7. Yes, and in one or two weeks when you will look at Craig List there will be nothing. Pffffffffffff .............. all gone but the car not sold. Why have you not be understanding that al the collectors are not like you seeing the lists everyday, it is so imple to add the text and the pictures here for enjoying with all the memebers and non-members of AACA who also wish to find the pearl they are looking for. 8. Here is a review about the cream car: One good turn deservesanother. In the early 1980s, renowned Chicago-area restorer Fran Roxas built acar that never was. Starting with a rendering in a Cadillac catalog forFleetwood custom bodies, which showed some innovative styles that could becreated for discerning customers, he built a faithful rendition of Style <st1:metricconverter w:st="on" ProductID="5859, a">5859, a</st1:metricconverter> sleek dual cowlphaeton. This was no quick job. He turned to Strother MacMinn, an industryveteran stylist and long-time instructor at the prestigious Art Center Collegeof Design in <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:city w:st="on">Pasadena</st1:city>, <st1:state w:st="on">California</st1:state></st1lace>. MacMinn in turn enlisted DavidHolls, Head of Advanced Design at General Motors, who produced a set offull-scale chassis blueprints for the Sixteen. Working from the blueprints, MacMinnscaled the catalog rendering up to full size. Constructed on a 1937 Sixteenchassis, it now resides in the <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placename w:st="on">Pack</st1lacename> <st1:placename w:st="on">Automotive</st1lacename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">Museum</st1lacetype></st1lace>being purchased from the Milhous Collection in 2012. By the early 1990s Roxas was restless again. The same catalog had a renderingof a stunning Cadillac Sixteen roadster, identified as Style 5802. As with thephaeton, this style had been illustrated but never built. Roxas again workedwith MacMinn and Holls to bring the roadster to life. The project turned out to be more ambitious than the phaeton, but MacMinn wasup to the task. The rendering clearly showed a metal-covered compartment forthe lowered top. On the driver’s side was a golf bag door, evidence of a rumbleseat. MacMinn devised a rumble seat with a disappearing cover, which slid downbehind the seat to become virtually hidden when open. The Sixteen’s generouswheelbase left plenty of room for a luggage compartment, but this made entry tothe rumble seat difficult. A series of step plates on the side would haveruined the lines. MacMinn cleverly designed a passenger door in the right sidethat made the seat easily accessible from ground level. A low-mileage 1935 Cadillac Sixteen Seven-Passenger Limousine became thechassis donor. The car takes its chassis number from this car, but Roxasfavored the more attractive “bi-plane” bumpers of the 1934 Cadillacs. Havingproved a bit fragile in ordinary use, they were replaced for 1935 by heavyconventional bar bumpers, the principal distinguishing feature of that year. Ashow car demanded a finer line of aesthetics, so the aircraft inspired ’34bumpers were used instead. Painted a light shade of yellow, the car is very handsome, set off with a darkgreen leather interior. There is matching green carpet on the floor. Craftsmanshipis exceptional throughout and the condition outstanding. The steering wheel isthe banjo-spoke “Flex wheel,” its black plastic rim unblemished. The dashboardinstruments have all been carefully restored, and the carpeted luggagecompartment is a tonneau cover for use when the top is down. Underneath, thecar is clean and tidy, with all mechanical elements painted black. The enginecompartment is similarly perfectly presented. This Cadillac Sixteen Custom Roadster is remarkable not only for its beauty butfor its sophisticated and complex construction. The Fleetwood engineers andcraftsmen of the 1930s could not have done it any better. The MilhousCollection acquired the car from Fran Roxas in 1995, and it has enjoyed prideof place in the museum for a decade and a half, also being shown at <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placename w:st="on">Pebble</st1lacename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">Beach</st1lacetype></st1lace>in the mid-1990s. 9. a few days ago I was speaking with Yann Saunders again, he is a friend from long date and we have prleasure to speak about Cadillacs. I am on Facebook and I am publishing pictures of beautiful cars, especially cars which are for sale all around the world. Yann said to me he remembered to have seen a second car like this one in pale green color. Is it this one or is it an second one, we do not know, I said to him all I am knowing is that the cream car was sold by Dean Kruse during the second half of the nineties and that now is always the same color. Now, what is the mystery of a possible second car? somebody does know about it???
  10. Regarding this car I am attaching a picture extracted from an auction catalog I do not remember the year but I know it is after 1994 and before 2000 where you can see the information you need to know. You also can see this car in the Yann Saunders' Cadillac DataBase under the page: drm3336 Philippe Hulet de Limal Florenville Belgium
  11. No problem Shawn, but that can serve as lesson for the guys and girls who have the possibility to issue pictures to annex them to their posts. Pictures are precious for different reasons, first being the ads in craiglist, Hemmings and all other sales' websites are there for a certain time only when posted here they will remain for longer time, second reason is that the pictures will remain a source of informations for who is restoring cars and third for the pleasure of the eyes.
  12. And I continue: a museum in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, was selling a few months ago a 1927 Peerless Boattail Roadster Model 6-90. Fortunately I was keeping a few (very little number published) pictures of this car long time ago. It is in working like that we can publish pictures in forms like this one... For the fine mouth I will say that people are knowing my interest for the old american cars and that when the forum of the ACCF (American Car Club of France) had a bug they wanted to me to get pictures in de posts I wasd giving months or years ago. I had not yet the time to d that completely but I already was completing some of them even with more pictures than in the original one. Here the 6-90 boattail roadster:
  13. One more time I am deploring the member ShawnLancaster didn't have the initiative to issue the pictures seen in Craig List. The ads on Craig List are issued for a very limited time and who is coming here not regularly like me per example am frustrated when I can't see some interesting addition to the blog. In addition I can speak about a Peerless, a 1928 6-80 5 Passenger Boattail Coupe which was for sale by Platinum Classic Motorcars in September, 2003. At this time I was not very experimented with computer and I was printing all the pages, now I have scanned the pictures. The Seller was adding: "The Peerless Motor Car Company once were part of what was known as the three P's Packard, Peerless and Pierce Arow. Ahigh end restoration of this incredibly rare boattail automobile was completed in 178. This car has resided in a museum for most of its life and has been used very little. The restoration on this car remains in very good condition. Only a handful of these rare automobiles are known to exist. This 1928 Peerless is finished in a striking Yellow and Black color combination, which was a typical color of its day for these flamboyant cars. The finish on this car remains in excellent condition with only a few minor chips. The interior of this wonderful car has been completely redone in the original style mohair fabric and the rumbleseat of this Peerless has been redone in Black leather. This quant automobile features a beautiful dashborad that is covered in exquisite woodgrin. The car has the original wooden wheel. The car's dash cluster is original, with the exception of the amp meter, which has been replaced with a newer gauge. The motor in this car runs well, it has been used sparingly since its restoration. this Peerless automobile has a 6 cylinder Continental engine with a bone and stroke of 3 1/4 by 4 5/8. This is the correct original motor that was deliverd new in the car. The car is ftted with Denman tires. This unique and rare automobile would be a great addition to any collection."
  14. But what make this station wagon?? it can be a Ford then it is not a rare car, or a Chevrolet, or a Dodge, an Hudson or a Nash... but if it is a Pierce-Arrow, Packard, Cadillac, LaSalle, Lincoln, then it can be a rare car. Who will purchase a cat in a bag??? Apparently it must be a Ford because it is said in an AACA Bulletin that Marilyn and Jim have several Ford including a 1934 wagon...
  15. I also have noticed this Royal 75 Sedan, it seems interesting apart one or two things broken, but I am not happy! there is no picture of the whole car. We can not see if the car looks good and when we are at the other side of the Atlantic it is not evident to purchase a car without a good look.
  16. Dear Mr. Marshall, I do not see if this car was sold. what is the actual situation? thank you for your reply.
  17. About twenty years ago I noted an ad in HMN about a 1931 Peerless Custom Eight Hayes bodied close coupled sedan for sale in Madison, WI 53711. Owner was Ron Kneebone and he wanted $12,000. I always have his address... Is it his car?
  18. The guy who promised to keep all has reported his venue, then the glass always is available during this weekend.
  19. I perhaps have forgotten some identification but the numbers are good and verified through NAGS magazine. The windshields are coming from the manufactory GLACERIE SAINT ROCH in Belgium I was knbowing very much in my quality of first son of a drinking glass manufactor and my quality of senior bailiff/sheriff's officer required for the evaluation of a larger stock of unsold windscreens. Belgium was a big place for U.S. cars in the past and was serving other countries like Switzerland, Germany, Luxembourg, France, The Netherlands, etc. If I got this add here I wish to inform European users before U.S. ones who can find such glass in their country through Phillips, Auto Glass, etc.
  20. URGENT URGENT URGENT URGENT URGENT URGENT URGENT My wife said "all must go during the weekend" otherwise she will give them for free to a guy who is awaiting for that. That is not doing my affair, I was paying to obtain this stock of new windshields, a new old stock I purchased in the beginning of the eighties. 21. More information and a vehicle for sale... it was on feb 10, 2011, in the H.A.M.B. forum where I am member too 1937 Stutz and Diamond-T Pack-Age-Car - THE H.A.M.B.
  22. You can find 2 examplars of this emblematic truck in J's Museum in Manchester, PA. Here is what the owner is writing: 1937 Stutz Pak-Age-Car In 1932, Stutz Motor Company bought the Pak-Age-Car Company. The Pak-Age-Car van-truck had a four-cylinder Hercules engine that was mounted in the rear of the truck and was mounted to a rear transaxle. This engine/transaxle unit was easily removable on the slide out frame on which it was installed. These trucks were manufactured in the Indianapolis, Indiana factory until 1937 when the Stutz Company filed bankruptcy. The Pak-Age-Car marketing and distribution taken over by the Diamond T Company, which continued to sell the van-trucks until March 1941, when war preparations took over the Connersville plant. There are approx. 10 Pakagecar (both Stutz & Diamond T models) known to be in existence. I bought the short wheel base truck around 2005 and had plans to restore it. I have since bought a beautiful 1937 Stutz Pakagecar that has a long wheel base body with rear swing out-doors and is complete with all equipment and accessories. This includes the original wheels and all four hubcaps with the Stutz emblem riveted to them. There is very little rust on the body, the engine seems to be in great shape and I have started the restoration of this truck it will be ready the 2011 truck & car show season. The pictures speak by themselves better than my "incompetence" about such vehicles
