  1. Well it is time to get the seat re-upholstered for my 23 Dodge Coupe. Do you have any recommendations in the MD/PA/VA areas? Thanks, Roland
  2. My Dad's 56 Chevy Nomad with 265 power pack was the family hauler. I remember sliding the windows to open while in the back seat. Aqua and White, Wow! Roland

    1931 Plymouth

Reverse the cables and start it up. Should correct the amp meter to read positive. Roland
  6. Back in the early eighties a friend of mine wanted me to drag race his 72Cuda. I went over to his house with my trailer, he pulled the car on while I strapped the car to the trailer. I hopped in to my truck and away I went by myself. After an hour drive the track I unstrapped the Cuda from the trailer and jumpped in to pull it off. Imagine my reaction not finding the key in the locked steering column. Wow!!!! Roland
  7. I remember washing the windshields on every fill-up, especially if a couple of cute girls were in the car! In fact I met my wife at the gas station! You could also cruise around on a Friday or Saturday night on a dollars worth of gas. I remember going out in the rain (no roof over the pumps abck then) and pumping a dollar in gas and checking the oil many times on a rainy night. How about the free air from the ECO Air Meter! You would have to watch the air meter because a guy would fill up his air shocks to 100 psi and a kid coming behind him would try to put the same 100psi in his bike tire! Pow! One of the soda machines had Yoo Hoo. And what about ARCO Graphite Motor Oil? When that stuff leaked it made a heck of a mess on the engine! Kenwood ARCO, Rosedale MD, that was the place! Roland
  8. I saw some intresting things at the Spring Carlisle meet on Saturday. I picked up a Northeast Horn for my 23 Dodge. Also came home with a set of Rally Wheels for the Malibu Wagon. Any other finds out there?
  9. Thanks for the video and "WOW" what a car! Roland
  10. That's a Jewett wheel and hub cap. Mid twenties Roland
  11. Check out the Buy/Sell forum. There is a rebuilt 216, Roland
  12. Thanks for the information and the engine looks great! Roland
  13. I pulled the oil pan on my 23 Dodge to fix the oil level float. After a good cleaning by hand in the parts washer, I did not see any traces of paint on the pan. The metal appears to be galvanized. Was the pan painted grey from the factory? Roland
  14. Restoration Specialties & Supply, Inc. 814-467-9842, Windbar,PA. They have it. Roland
  15. FMF, The "tube" referred in the manual is a passage way in the block that runs just above the oil line going to the guage, from the check valve at the front of the engine. The oil feed blow out plug is located at the lower left corner of the rear valve cover. On my 23 the oil line is attached to the blow out plug. I have my oil pan off now and will be cleaning the tube shortly. Roland
  16. That is for the oil feed blow out plug. From the Mechanics Instruction Manual "The oil feed pipe in engine should be cleaned at least once each season with compressed air. This can be accomplished by removing the oil feed blow out plug and the oil check valve cap and blow out with compressed air." I hope that helps! Roland
  17. Everyone thanks for the information. Keiser, the 2 that I have are made from 2 peices of round wire, not stamped.
  18. I pulled my water pump off the engine for a rebuild. While it is off I want to replace the worm style hose clamps with the correct ones. Are the 2 wire screw clamps the correct clamps? Where are they available? Thanks!
  19. One of my favorites is "If I Had A Million" with W.C. in the Road Hog sequence. A lot of vintage tin was destroyed in a short period of time. The clip is on you tube.
