  1. After a 2-hour ride, not much in the way of old parts, the best part of the trip was the Amish Market next door, Great Food!
  2. Steve, Best wishes and a quick recovery! Thanks for what you do!
  3. I remember when the Harford Region held the car show at the Equestrian Center way back when. It was a nice show and I always wondered why it stopped. Living in Bel Air I did not know anyone in the Harford Region and never reached out to them. Still working full time I just do not have time for meetings. I do enjoy emails for upcoming events and hopefully I can participate in them.
  4. Early 70's I was a Tech at a Ford store. New Ford wagon comes in with a no heat complaint. Someone at the factory decided to put 5 ignition locks with keys inside the heater box and that blocked the blend door from working. Just some one having fun on the assembly line I guess. Another time a customer with a new car came in and asked to have valve stem extensions installed on the wheels. One of the wheels did not have a valve stem on the rim. When the put the tire on the rims at the factory they use high pressure sir shooting between the rim and the tire to seat the bead on the rim. I had to drill a hole in the rim to let the air out and then replace the rim.
  5. My 23 Dodge windshield wiper has multiple speeds. It just depends on how fast you move the lever back and forth!
  6. The chocolate has been gone now for a couple of years. They now want you to walk over to Chocolate World and spend a lot more money!
  7. They especially like blowing the Ahooga Horn
  8. Picture of my 23, the top is 7/16 across and is threaded on to the float shaft Roland
  9. I met Chris earlier this year at the Library Car Show and had a very nice conversation. My condolences to his family and friends.
  10. Well with Hershey right around the corner I thought it would be fun to take look back in time to see what was available in the Flee Market. 2 from about 1980
  11. Won the heat with this one, 1979 or 80 If I remember correctly. One of the most fun things I ever did with a car. Brought it back to the gas station to pull the rear, had a posi unit in it, before it went to the scrap yard. The Demo Derby was at Dorsey Speedway. At the point I could not see out of the back window any longer I thought the trunk lid popped up. I was shocked when I climbed out and looked at the damage. Also at some point I got hit in the driver door and the door panel was up against the steering wheel.
  12. I have very understanding wife, in the 28 years we have lived in this house she has never parked in the garage.
  13. Kick the wife out of the garage, use the pole barn for parts storage.
  14. Pictures and more information would help.
  15. Not my first tool or tool box, but still a neat piece after 42 years of regular use.
  16. I drove my 1923 Dodge Brothers (unrestored) to a Car Show a couple of weeks ago, about a 30 mile round trip . Of of the several hundred cars there were only 4 cars from the thirties or earlier, one was a Model A Rat Rod and another was a Willys Street Rod. The other car was a very nicely restored brass Model T Touring. I must say that I had more people asking me questions about the car then I have had in a long time. Kinda funny, I was parked next to the dirt road that served as the entrance to the show field and parking for spectators. That created a lot of dust that started to cover the show cars. Parked next to me was a 2022 Corvette who's owner had a hard time brushing of the dust every 30 minutes or so to keep clean. At one point he mentioned to me about trying to keep it clean and I told him it made my car look like a barn find!
  17. As a side note, Oldsmobile badged the last 500 cars as Final 500. I don't remember seeing that for Pontiac.
  18. Peter, Wow! Thank you so much for sending all of the information on Jewett and Dodge Brothers, I do appreciate it! Had the 23 out for a car show this past weekend. Thanks again, Roland Jewett
  19. Hi Peter, Thanks for sharing this information. Can you send me Pages 562,597, 636, 650, 770 and 805. For 23 Dodge and 25 Jewett Thanks again, Roland
  20. Thanks for the video, I had to watch it twice to make sure I did not miss something. Brings back many memories, I have attended since 1970. However I do not miss the mud! The real treat was to get there early on Saturday (6am) in front of the Stadium to watch the cars being driven on to the show field.
  21. Army surplus Jeeps still packed in a crate covered in cosmoline.
