  1. I tried to no avail. The clerk pulled out a sheet showing the discount was only for the greater Chicago area.

    prototype

Maybe it was in a display of ill concieved wannabe prototype cars in the museum of bigfoot hair and scat.
  3. Drive on it and pop some bubbles.
  4. Find Farmtek online, they offer many choices in enclosures. They also offer the insulation and talk about it as a moisture barrier.
  5. I know the mylar faced bubble insulation is used for a dampness barrier and is pretty cheap for a car sized piece. Any hardware store.
  6. I see a 1990 convertible in Orlando for $3,600 via Jaxxed(craigslist)
  7. The front fog lamps must be very rare because I see someone trying to sell them for $100.00 each on ebay:D
  8. Thats what I was looking for. Thank you Booreatta
  9. Everything has the little edit value pencil by it, location, occupation, etc except for signature. I can click on location and actually type my location. I click on signature and nothing happens
  10. I get to my profile and can manipulate everything except for updating my signature. Thank You
  11. Telco, I was just joking; that if the Reatta was rwd and packing a V8, it today would be highly regarded as an expensive collectible out of my league. That, in an alternate universe, I would be trying to deal with another quirky affordable car as the Reatta is now.
  12. If the Reatta came out with rear wheel drive and a monster V8 a lot of us would not be on this forum but another forum dedicated to another unique AFFORDABLE car. Lets see.....................um where do I get new floor pans to replace the rusty one's on my new used Saab Sonnet?........It's a bad dream, be happy for what we have.
  13. KDirk I am in northwest missouri and was told to have one. I just got a maui blue vert and it just kills me to think I have to deface the snout.
  14. I live in Missouri (Misery) where they expect you to totally mar a beautiful nose with a license plate:mad:. I was curious if the same year Riviera had a holder since it would be easier to find in a junkyard. I already left a message with Jim Finn.

    E 041 code

Mine was the same way so I checked to see if the magnet was dislodged-nope. So I replaced the sensor and the code went away but still comes back when the car is first started and idling for several minutes.
  16. I think alot of people are fooling themselves when they rely on something is made here or there. Harleys are only"assembled in America" with parts from around the world. Then the argument is "well the money is staying in America". Are 100% of the dividends being paid only to American investors? Many John Deere tractors were designed and built in Japan as nowdays where Cub Cadet tractors are built by Yammar Of Japan. You go to Detroit for a great V-8 and you go to Japan for a great tractor. Nationalism is great but do not be blindsided to the fact there is a convoluted money trail in the world economy that may not end up where it "should" go.
  17. I just flew down to Ft Meyers to buy a beautiful Maui blue convertible in Naples from Paul Miraldi. He stated there is a place where someone bought an old Walmart, carpeted it, and filled it with 300 classic cars. There is parking for 700 cars outside and a flea market is held along with car shows there. I do not remember the location but you can ask Mr Miraldi at 239-248-6054
  18. While on the freeway you can use the mile markers to see how close your car is reading them. Mine is short each mile. There must also be a "winter" gas blend because I also have terrible mileage now. Lastly ethanol is no help. I guess they are trying to get 15% ethanol approved now.
  19. What you want is to look up "Dr ColorChip".
  20. You are supposed to invert them at the same intervals you rotate your tires.
  21. I just replaced my alternator because of a bearing going dry and squealing. If it is that you need to deal with that sooner than later because a bad bearing will get so hot the epoxy on the alternator will catch fire (how would I know.....). You can also try to isolate the noise by using a piece of half inch or larger diameter tubing one side in your ear and probe the other side around the pullys and idler.
  22. One thing is to clean is the idle air control valve. Probably another thing to consider is a new oxygen sensor. Both things cheap, quick, and normal maint.
  23. Dealcatcher lists an offer where you order anything online in stock from Advance over $100.00 you will get $20.00 off and free shipping from the 18th thru the 20th. You can order it online and pick it up at the store but you cannot do a walk in and get the deal. Online only.
  24. A good rattle can clear coat can be found online thru Eastwoods which is an auto restoration store- I think it is called diamond kote and it is for wheels. They have all sorts of goodies and a catalog available.
  25. I had an issue like the one described. Horrible start up's, misses, etc. Did what I could including the ground block of wires. Took it to a mechanic and they could not get a fault to show but when they drove it they saw the issues. Told me they would not guarantee a fix but felt the brain was bad. Worked alittle better for about a week then bad again. Had the alternator tested and it was good. Driving home one night the battery started to discharge so I had it tested and it showed good. Got curious and took the alternator back to be tested but it showed good, I said run it one more time and it faulted. So it was an intermittent alternator failure all along.
