vin # for dodge pickup

I'm looking to find out the year of a dodge pickup I bought. the vin # is 42-1993. Where do I search, I have not had any luck so far. THANKS Don

Based on Eric Bannerman's book Dodge Truck Serial Numbers 1917-1980, you have a 1919 Dodge 4, 1/2 ton, with 114" wheelbase and a 212.3 CI engine.

 

That year the number range was 303107 through 424145, So I'd say this one is a late model 1919.

What decade are we talking about here? A picture sure helps. If you have been to T137 you will know that c3b... is not a serial number of a Dodge truck.

The tag on firewall has Vehicle #42-1993, Model #C3B6108. Where is the serial # on the truck.

How about a photo, many of us can tell the year simply by looking at a photo.

I think with the B series pickups the  number 3 refers to the weight - 1/2 ton or whatever. The C may be Canada??

Looks like the "beautifiers" have been in and removed the hood labels to replace with the V8 and Ram emblems.

It has a small V8 is that not a stock motor for this truck.

If it runs, $500, if not then $300.  Of course if you’ve had a lifelong desire to own this truck and finally found one, then double that.  I honestly don’t see anything of value.
