Wiring Harness for 1940 Buick Special

Can anyone direct me to a source for a wiring harness for a 1940 Buick Special? I can't decide whether I want to stay 6 volt or go 12, but am leaning towards 6 volt.

I'm looking for an "affordable" harness! <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

$ about $750 is what I've seen so far.....at that price, I think I'll have to keep patching the wire at this point.........

I would stay with 6v, and go the patch method, at least until you get it running. Find out the condition of the engine, etc, before embarking on a $750.00 fix. There are places out there you can do better on price, but first things first. Get the wiring straightened out enough to get it running, see what you have before throwing money at the wiring problem

Hello - I have a similar problem in that I need a harness for my '49 Buick Roadmaster Sedanette. Do you know a source for any kind of harness? Even the $750 versions? I can't find anything and mine is turning to dust. Thanks!

Here is the guy I plan on using. I spoke to him on the phone, and ordered his catalog. He is most impressive.

He guarantees his systems clear throught the next few owners of the vehicle. I think you will find the price much better than the $750 mentioned above... Depending on what you want. He has 6 to 12 conversions, motor home kits, it looks like he covers the whole spectrum

Give him a call, get a free catalog...
