Guest 85CieraHoliday
I have a Pastel Beige 1985 Cutlass Ciera Brougham Holiday Coupe. It has a special Holiday Coupe Package (RPO WJ5) Power windows, power locks, a/c, rear defogger, wire hubcaps, luggage rack, am/fm/cassette, powewr antenna (need motor I think) reading lamp, tinted glass pin stripe, curise control, and pulse wiper. There are less then 77,000 miles on it. The orignial 2.5 L 4 cylinder and 3 speed automatic and in 20 yrs the most expensive repair.... new coil packs. Junkboy
I didn't think coil packs appeared on the 2.5 until 1987. You car should have a distributor. A very inaccessible distributor at that.I have a Holiday too. It's a white '78 Holiday 88 -- basically a sporty version of the Delta with buckets/console with floor shift. Neat car.Other Oldsmobiles I own are:'73 Delta 88 convertible'73 Delta 88 4-door hardtop'67 Ninety-Eight LS'76 Cutlass Supreme factory 455 (basket case)'88 Ciera 4-door'80 Omega brougham 2-door -- pretty much junk, but it has a 2.8V6 & a 4-speed manual.Got some parts cars too, but they are just that..My newest acquistion, a '67 Toronado arrived last night. I know nothing about it other than the fact that it doesn't run. It has some nice options. Always wanted one.
Guest 85CieraHoliday
No the coil packs were in the 2.5 for all years of duty in the a-body cars, still they are quite hard to get too yet seem to be a common replacement item on all of the 2.5's. Had them replaced on my dads 87 Grand Am LE coupe a few years ago, but that car is gone (he got a new car).
imported_Badger Guy
junkboy, Are the trim rings in the back of the truck in the picture, from the 67 Toro? Or are they the wide ones off a Cutlass? I'm looking for two from a Toro and two wide ones (15 inch) for my cutlass.I have a 72 H/O almost done and a 67 f/85 far from done. A 66 4dr Cutlass hardtop and a 66 Toro that probably will never get done

Junkboy
Hey Badger Guy -- I believe those rings in the back of my truk are 15" ones off my Holiday 88. If I knew I had any extras, I'd let you have them for shipping, but I just can't keep track of what junk is where.I moved from AL to NC last year... got about 20 cars up here so far, but there are still close to 170 in AL - ugh! Then there's all the parts...
bwalat
I own a Teal Blue Metallic 1968 Delta 88 Holiday Coupe with a black vinyl roof.It has a 455 with a Q-jet, Turbo 400 trans, factory dual exhaust, posi, Pertronix Flamethrower ignition/coil, Crane 272-degree cam, and 55 amp Delcotron. It has the Group 2 option package (power trunk release, remote control mirror, clock, hood/trunk lights, floor/trunk mats, courtesy and glove box lights). Not to mention AC, power brakes and radial tires. This car has 49K original miles. It won first place in the full size Olds category at the 2005 GM Nationals. I had the entire car repainted, rebuilt the engine, front end and transmission, replaced all the rubber parts and put in a new carpet, among other things.Oh, and did I mention that this car will be up for sale in the next few weeks? Guest Shaffer
Only Oldsmobiles I currently know of in my family are my mothers 97' Achieva SL 4dr (photo attached was taken in early April of 05') and my aunts mother-in-laws 89' Cutlass Ciera sedan that she inherited from her mother-in-law, which she uses as her 3rd car. Moms car to me is a sorry excuse for an Oldsmobile. It is a good car, but not your typical Oldsmobile. It is too small in my book and the 2.4L DOHC engine is too "growly" and noisy. Junqueboi
I used to drive a '77 Cutlass Supreme that was Mandarin. I found the buildsheet one day. It was sold new to either Hertz or Avis. It was yuckily-equipped..It had the Olds 350-4, A/C, camel bench seat interior, AM radio, & full wheelcovers. No other options. It had about 80K & was totally rusted out as it was an Illinois car. It sure drove nice though..

Junqueboi
Copper, that is a handsome car. I typically don't care for red on full-sized cars, but your car really wears the color well. I also like how you blacked out the grille. Thanks for sharing the pic.

stogie
'71 Cutlass-S. Complete, unmolested car I found in Missouri. Came with 30 years of service records, well maintained. Right now I have it in my shop and am stripping it down to go to the body shop to return it to original color and replace the rusted metal. Guest DaveCorbin
How about a 1966 Toronado with 104,000 miles owned by it's original and only owner? It's dark blue and very plain, but it goes like stink! Inside is blue bench seat, no vinyl top, no turn lights on front fenders, no A/C, no power windows. I bought it in Sept. 1966 at Storey Olds in Lansing. My documentation includes the canceled check for $4107.36 all up with tax, no trade.Regards, Dave Corbin

gmoney
My favorite Olds is the 71 Cutlass Supreme Holiday Coupe. Found in Virginia as a one owner car this was exactly what I wanted. A Rocket 350 4BBL Turbo 350 floor shifter and bucket seats. All original but needing help it has come a long way since May of 98. For the whole story see August 04 JWO Starting from Scrap. Still a work in progress. Mike.
