  1. My '72 Cutlass has the plastic card.
  2. If you haven't already done so, replace all of the brake fluid from the master cylinder to the wheels. Old brake fluid absorbs water from the atmosphere & if there is any drag in the system, it will generate enough heat to boil the water & give you lousy brake response. If that doesn't help, replace all of the rubber components in the system.
  3. Hmmm! I have a '72 Cutlass Convertible. It only has Lab Belts.
  4. Harv at Harv's Auto Body repair Inc in Iowa City, 319-351-0680 Duffy's in Cedar Rapids - don't have a phone, but I'm sure you can get it off of any search engine!
  5. Results look pretty definitive, but the loading the filters are seeing is orders of magnitude higher than the load the average street driven car will see.
  6. The '72 Cutlass we cruise eastern Iowa in has 69,786 miles as of yesterday. I have reason to believe that the milage is correct.
  7. I've got Hagerty. No claims so I don't know how they are about that, but price seems reasonable for a 72 Cutlass convertible.
  8. 1972 Cutlass S Convertible, White on White on White. Has 69XXX miles & gives my wife & I a kick when we drive it!
  9. I've used toothpaste with fairly good results. It will take out small scratches quickly & leave a smooth shiny finish.
  10. Hi I have a '72 Cutlass 350 with 4 barrel. When the idle is set to the factory spec, it stalls when the AC is on. It this normal? Should the idle speed be set with the AC engaged? thanks
