  1. There is a Yahoo group for 73-77 Oldsmobiles. Another place to look is www.midsizebowties.net - that is another websiter for 73-77 Cutlasses and their other GM counterparts... Brian
  2. One thing to remember about this years Nationals - there is only space for 400 judged cars. If you are going to have your car judged, get your form in quickly. I will have my 1977 Cutlass there in Unrestored, like always. With unrestored, general maintenance items dont disqualify you from the class, it is if you have larget things done (more than 2 panels repainted, new carpeting, bumpers rechromed, etc). Brian
  3. The differences between the '76 Cutlass and the '77 are few. The majority of them are as follows: 1) Grille 2) Script "Oldsmobile" on grill (76) versus printed in 1977. 3) Bumper impact strip had white stripe in the groove in 1977, plain black in 1976. 4) A/C Vents round in 76, rectangular in 77 5) One of the years had a larger Olds "rocket" in the tailights. Brian
  4. Actually, if I remember right, the exterior shots of the house from The Golden Girls show either either a Olds Cutlass Ciera or a Buick Century in the driveway. Brian
  5. 1. Current Daily Driver: 2003 Oldsmobile Alero 2. Mileage per year: Approximately 16000 3. Miles per Gallon: 21 City, 25 highway 4. Do I own a hybrid?: No 5. Would I consider a hybrid in the future: Yes, most definitely, especially for my wife who drives the expressways of Chicago each day. 6. 7.
  6. Toy: 1977 Cutlass Supreme, Mandarin Orange Metallic, T-Tops, 38900 miles Daily Driver: '03 Alero GLS Sedan, Black, 52000 miles Brian
  7. This is the State of Illinois at work. The state legislature was supposed to update the law each year to allow for vehicles that are 25 years old to be exempt from this testing. Unfortunately, the state has not updated this since 1994 (from what I remember). You can request an extension from the Secretary of State's office as long as you can prove that your car is either a) a show car and cant be driven in winter, in storage, or c) not currently driveable. Usually the extension is another 3-4 months. Brian
  8. My wife and I will be up there, driving our 77 Cutlass in from Chicago. We are actually driving up Tuesday, seeing that the last time either of us was up there was the 85 Nats... Brian
  9. Looking for a LH Grill for a 1983 Hurst/Olds. NOS Preferred, but interested in whatever is available. Brian M. Lenz BMLVU97@hotmail.com BMLENZ@gapac.com
