Hemiragtop
It will be my fist time attending Hershey, and I was curious in regards to the awards. I understand the Junior, Senior, Preservation etc, but do they give special awards for Best piant, best in show? Class? etc. Thank you, John

Steve Moskowitz
John, this is a AACA National Meet and all the usual trophies at our meets will be awarded. The only other awards available are National Awards and our team will be reviewing cars for nominations later this year. Good Luck.
Peter J.Heizmann
Hi, Dr. Piazza...If it is your first time showing at any AACA Meet, you will be going for your 1st Junior only. There are no other special awards, except, the possibility. There are National Award judges that roam the show field accumulating candidate vehicles for the National Awards given at the Annual Meeting in February.Regards, Peter J. <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Jay Wolf
Your question makes me wonder? You are an AACA Member aren't you?You have pre-registered for Hershey?AACA National Shows are restricted to AACA members and there are no day of show registrations.Just wanting to make sure your not disappointed the day of the show if you are new to AACA or not a member. It's never too late to join AACA but Hershey registration is closed. Hemiragtop
I'm a member of the AACA, and have been one for the last 3yrs. I have never had my car entered in a national show before. My car is already pre-registered and ready to go. I have been involved with Mopars and Mopar only car shows for many years, it will be my first AACA show. Jay Wolf
Glad to hear you?re on top of things.I have been at events where someone read about it in the paper and decided to drive over and enter, only to be disappointed.Looks like you have some nice Mopar muscle. I sure you will enjoy it there is nothing like Hershey. My family drag raced Mopars in the late 60?s till about 71 or so. We were mostly small block people 273-340?s with a few 383/413/440 here and there in. Never raced the Elephant, my dad had several of the late 50?s hemi 300 cars when they were new. ex98thdrill
No don't take it as a bad thing. Just remember that with a show as large as that one is, you're lucky if you have enough time to see all of the cars. To add to best paint, best chrome, best of show, etc., would be too time consuming and too labor intensive on a host region that is already busting their butts to put on a heck of a show. You'll see what I'm talking about next weekend. Between the judges fighting the crowds to get in to judge the cars, the time spent trying to determine the points and who gets what awards, that place is literally a zoo. Until you take a car to Hershey, you haven't been to a show. Granted the all Ford, Mopar, GM shows are tough, Hershey is HUGE!!
