Since no seller could be that greedy,

and no long-term owner so unknowledgeable,

I wonder whether the $875,000 asking price

is from an heir who knows nothing about old cars.

If in excellent and running condition, is this a

$30,000 or $35,000 car?

John:

It might be valued in that range in Atlanta, Georgia where it was assembled because of local historic interest but not much anywhere else.  It is one of the legions of 'assembled cars', Continental engine, 119-121" wheelbase, approximately $1,600 price range, low annual production, intended for a regional market.

I don't think any local collector would be so foolish.

Here in Penna., we have locally made cars such as

the Pullman and Bell (York, Pa.) and Hanover (Hanover, Pa.).

Local members have collected them but only paid

what anyone else would.  And anyone with $875,000

for a car never got wealthy by overpaying!
