I thought Chevrolet put a valve cover on that engine a couple of years before 1924?? I have also read these cars have a very weak differential. A friend (who is gone now☹️) was a  Chevrolet guru and had never seen an actual 1924 by serial #. All check out to be ‘25’s. Just some random thoughts, I think this is a very nice car for the $$. A good parade vehicle.

I believe the valve cover started in '25. The differentials could be weak, I don't know because they axels always break first!

Several models of Chevrolet of the 1920s were famous for breaking axles! I have heard of a few people adapting model T differentials and axles into the Chevrolet rear ends. (Although I have never seen one myself?)

Generally, however, these Chevrolet automobiles properly cared for and driven make fine tour cars! Just avoid deep mud and ruts.
