1958 Ford Fairlane 500 Convertible - $42,000 (Glastonbury, CT)

I know it’s well over $10k, but I rarely see the convertible version of these. Skyliners seem to have survived in quantity but not Sunliners. The seller is a person of few words. And pics.

This is the third 1958 Ford that's shown up here in last few days. Interesting ones too, not the overexposed Skyliners. You could be forgiven for believing Skyliners were the only thing Ford made from 1957-1959, since you sure don't see much else from those years.

 

Then when I settled down this afternoon to read the newly arrived May 15 '24 issue of Old Cars Weekly, what did it contain but a feature on a 1958 Fairlane 500 Town Sedan?

Well, most of you believe the 57 Ford is better styled than the 58 but I much prefer the 58s.  Who knows on the ad?  It’s become normal to see ads this way.

Sharp looking car.

A Sunliner would definitely be less trouble than a Skyliner.

Thik this is the third one that I've seen in the last month. Nice looking car, although I'm never a fan of white interior. That price feels a bit steep, but considering the era is probaly close to being on par.
