Leif in Calif
A project...I wonder how difficult wood replacement is? (more pics in ad) https://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv/cto/d/tarzana-1955-mg-tf-1500/7739831570.html 1955 MG TF 1500. The last year of the classic MG style before the 1956 MGA. This car has been stored for 42 years. Solid CA car needing some of the wood replaced (available from Moss Motors for around $1500). Strong motor (55lbs oil pressure at idle). Runs and drives well. 4 speed. Good oil pressure (50lbs at idle see photo of gauge). Due to certain health issues I do not have the energy to continue saving this neat car. Clear California title in my name. $9750 You are welcome to visit in Tarzana just off the 101 freeway. Please call 818 705 8655 (land line/no texts).
zepher
I've always liked this body style. They look fantastic all done and they can be made to be reliable if you work hard enough. One of my uncles used a TF as his only car in the San Francisco Bay Area back in the 70's. He said it was reliable once he worked the bugs out. Steve_Mack_CT
Love T series MGs and nice he discloses the need for wood but I think based on that I might place this in more or less the 5,000 range based on following these. If I didn't have the A roadster I would have a T series in that slot.

I don't know how much of a step forward the TF is from the TD, but based on my (limited) experience, I'd say that in a straight line, the main difference driving a T series MG and a Model A is in the A you sit higher! (Way different when you turn the steering wheel of course)
plymouthcranbrook
I would love to have a car like that. If I could get out of it after getting in. I assume not a crazy price on this one?
Steve_Mack_CT
Once inserted plenty of legroom in T series - deep footwells. My A is easier to get in and out of though and easier for other drivers to spot. Their are similarities for sure. Plymouth I think given the re wooding needed this one is a bit pricey. As Leif points out the TD to TF change was mainly cosmetic to buy time for the MGA.
Sal Hepatica
Once immensely popular with the post WWII crowd, the prices on all the T series seems to be in a downward trend. I'd say this is very optimistically priced.
