raulmp
Im a 17 year old whos new to stuff involving cars, especially classics, but i recently came into possession of a 1964 buick riviera that ive been working to rebuild. Im nearing completion on the engine bay, but my knowledge is very elementary and i was hoping to get some help on identifying a part. my vehicle is missing it so ive attached images below of it. please let me know what it is so i can get back to work and try and get this baby up and running. Oldtech
looks like the sight glass on the Air Cond works. If that's missing the AC isn't working but doesn't affect the engine.

rocketraider
Does the car have airconditioning? If it does, you need the receiver-dryer along with plenty of money to rebuild the A/C system since it's been open to atmosphere. If your Riviera is not an airconditioned car, it's not needed. Don't worry about being 17 and not knowing much. We were all there once. I like seeing a young guy getting into older cars. You can visit here too. Plenty of Riviera knowledge here. Plus the Riviera Owners' Association. https://forums.aaca.org/forum/73-buick-riviera/
