I don’t know about the Mercs but my ‘65 Galaxie (similar platform) does not have a cross-flow radiator. The 55er Posted June 19 Share Posted June 19 A rather rough car with a lot of modifications. Some missing trim pieces too. Lots of work left to do. The "some rust & older body repairs" statement alone is a good reason to look elsewhere. The bodywork, repainting and bumper rechroming would cost far more than the car is worth IMO. Go for the magnificent, meandering Susquehanna River scenery along old Route 6 which is one of the early main east-west routes that auto tourists traveled in the 1920's. Take a side trip off Rt. 6 up County Route 92 to Nicholson to see an engineering masterpiece: The Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Railroad's giant reenforced concrete viaduct.
