Xander Wildeisen
A little effort in cleaning this car could make a big difference in its appearance. These are nice cars. Might be worth a look if in the area.
theconvertibleguy
Looks like a Galaxie for Fairlaine? Not a small engine so might be rocking a 352 or even a 390. Agree with @Xander Wildeisen this might be a diamond in the rough
Xander Wildeisen
I would look at it, that interior dodges a big cost. Paint could buff out, pretty straight car.
Gearheadengineer
Cool car. Galaxie XL (bucket seats, console, etc). First year for this body style. The A/C is fairly unusual. Maybe not in TX? Odd color choice with the red interior. Something going on with the letters on the trunk lid. Worth checking out.
deac
I agree this one has potential. I like the look of these Fords. I wish it was located closer. Edited January 12 by deac (see edit history)
deac
So I believe this is the XL500 model. Most likely has the base V8 with the cruise-o-matic transmission. XL models had bucket seats, center console and the rear seat speaker grille. These things are worth some $$ but a car sitting like this one is it's going to need a lot of work. But the paint and interior would probably clean up well. Though I am in no position to take on this project, it sure would be fun. Additionally the buyer would have to go down there and see exactly we they are offering. I don't think the seller knows much about this car. For me, a diehard negotiator, I would try to heist it for 5 grand or less because there's a good chance seller just wants the car gone!!!!
Fossil
Whoever let that car set like that should be skinned alive. Those are absolutely beautiful when in nice condition.
