jpage
An entirely scratch built model of my '36 Dodge 218 6 cyl. engine. My first foray into the larger scale models. All fasteners are real. Block and transmission are made from wood and laminated plastic blind slats. Small parts are of plastic and brass. The air cleaner actually has a copper element. Still need to add the spark plugs and wires. The larger scale is much more fun as you can get in so much more detail. Came out fair, but I'll never be a Roger Zimmerman! 7
TerryB
That is fantastic! Sure looks like it could be installed in a real car.
Jim Skelly
Roger's talent is extraordinary, but you're not too shabby!

I have always been a "hands on" guy, taught art to kids for over 3 decades The feeling of seeing something that you did with your own hands is sensational, not just for you but for others like us here to see something created from raw materials. Create something! this goes for all - gals and guys alike. Or recreate something - restoring something is about as close to creating something as you can get OK lecture is over , class is done for now. 😄🙃
jpage
Thanks for the kind words. I really like scratch building because of the satisfaction of creating something from nothing.
