I am the BCA tech guy for 1991-1996 Roadmasters. I get bout one call per month. I can assure they never called for advice.

"They" meant the owners of the Buick in the picture.

 

Most of the actual calls I get are from shoppers asking about potential problems or things they noticed on a potential purchase.

 

Yesterday I coached a buyer on how to defeat the Passkey system and offered to work through it with his mechanic should it become a problem.

 

The most memorable call was a man in Texas who removed the fuel tank from a car that had been sitting a long time. He had a helper. He called me back for an update and told me he had spent a day working on his car. He was so busy he forgot to stop and take himself out to dinner for his 86th birthday. I told him he was a lucky man and hoped something similar could happen to me.

 

I have only had a couple of calls seeking a buyer. Those were from heirs. They found my number among the car papers.
