Nickel or chrome on LaSalle, when did the change take place?

I heard that LaSalle and Cadillac changed from Nickel plating to chrome plating in the later 1920's, likely 1927. Does anyone here have a factory document that calls out exactly when that change took place? Could I have a scan of that document to substantiate a correct and proper restoration?

Thanks,

Al

According to Ron Van Gelderen and Matt LArson  authors of LaSalle, Cadillac's Companion Car

the change took place in 1929, for the first time. LaSalle ads of 1929 clearly tout the new britework.

Is it true the transition from Nickel to Chrome took place in phases? Initially only exterior parts used chrome, keeping nickel in the interior, then later going to full chrome plating. Is this true?

We are not sure when exactly it started, but it seems chrome plating is going to be banned from automotive industry in Europe in 2024, so other regulations may follow.

Did all of GM follow that protocol or was each GM make on its own time schedule when it came to switching over to Chrome plating?

Oldsmobile started using chrome plating in 1926, so I would say it depended on the brand.
