Bosch ZR4 magneto

That mag was used with a special buzzer coil designated either ED1 or ED2.  It's cast into the base so it's easy to identify. The ED1 must have it's cap because that part of the design. The cap on the ED2 is just a cover. You need the coil to use the mag with battery ignition. The mag itself will be worth a lot more with the coil and the switch (in the picture). That is a fairly early example with a brass frame and screw terminals. The later ZR4's had an aluminum frame and the wires were anchored directly in the top edge of the cap.

I spent ages looking for the coil and finally found one. It's a lot rarer than the mag since people kept the mags and neglected to keep the coil.

I don't think that is  the right switch unless what we are seeing is a cover and the connections are under it. That is probably the case but you would have to take it off for further identification. The wiring diagram shows a Bosch switch with 4 terminals. Here's a scan showing the ED1 buzzer coil. The ED2 coil looks just like it but is constructed so that the cover is only a  cover and not a working part of the coil.
