WildcatMN
Hello, looking for some guidance. Trying to help someone who has a 99 Riv and the fuel door and assembly came off the car. Looks like the pin that attaches rusted through. I've already learned the hard way that some of the parts places online show the original part "available " but that is the default. It is discontinued. So far searching used parts is not coming up with anything available. Does that door interchange with any other models of Buick or Gm? Alternatively, any of you fellow part hoarders happen to have one or a parts car you are willing to part with? Looking at an old thread, seems as 98/99 was a different part number from earlier models of that generation. Thanks for any advise,
NTX5467
If the failure was because a roll pin deteriorated, then can a new roll pin of the correct size be located and installed? No specs in the Buick parts book for those things, either. Match and try. NTX5467
JZRIV
The following Info provided by Randall Crain. He believes despite slight difference they should mount same and work. 1
rodneybeauchamp
There is a Facebook site/forum for 1995-1999 Riviera owners and some members have parts cars. You may have luck there. Rodney 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀
dship
There's also a site forum for '95-'99 Rivieras called Riviera Performance - Dashboard (editboard.com). 1
WildcatMN
Thanks guys, good information. I think we fixed it this weekend. I'm probably not explaining well, but I think it was bent out the wrong way and needed to be snapped back in to the clip. I do think the pin needs to be replaced and will check on that. I really appreciate the help everyone. 1
