Jeff Perkins / Mn
I believe this was a special spring edition DeSoto for 1955. I had a friend who had one sitting in the basement of the family Chrysler/Plymouth for years. He sold it to someone in the area but I lost track of it. They were very pretty cars with the tri-tone paint scheme. I like this one!

rocketraider
Weren't these offered only in certain colors and combinations?
The 55er
This 1955 DeSoto is currently offered for sale on Ebay with a BIN of $11,350 obo. Seller is calling it a Firedome on Ebay and a Fireflite (which it actually is) on FB. I don't know if this sedan is worth $10 or $11K with some rust holes and quick duct tape patches on the rear quarters but it is an attractive model. I don't understand why a car described as an excellent driver can't be pulled outside for some nice overall pictures including shots of the interior. Also IMO the seller should give the car a good clean-up himself before offering it for sale. Anyway GLWTS. 3

The spring Coronado package on Fireflite sedans was available in a three-tone color scheme of Coronado Aqua, Surf White, and Black. There were six combinations. 3

With the new Mobil 1 synthetic fluid, the transmission no longer loses engine engagement. I cannot state that the correction was because of the benefic quality of the Moblie 1 ATF, or because of the replacement of possibly broken-down ATF (automatic transmission fluid). I also replaced the power steering fluid with the Mobile 1 ATF. 15 March 2024: exhaust system replaced with regular-muffler, dual-exhaust type greased steering linkage Phone me, no text please. $8,000 Edited May 26 by 6T-FinSeeker update price (see edit history)
