Very optimistic price for the condition, needs a lot of interior work. Seller states paint is tired and there's obviously rust in the nooks & crannies. Someone might be into this entry-level wagon for 40 grand if it stops at that. Wouldn't a 1957 or a 1958 Olds Fiesta wagon be a lot cooler? And some of those were pillarless hardtops.......

I agree, the 59 is a little on the odd side IMO. 57, 58 and 60 were much better looking cars style wise. If I were interested in this car, I would deduct for the weak headliner, rust, paint and the scruffy upholstery. Seller should have removed the blankets and taken some honest pics of this wagon. All that said, I believe that all the money is around 20K. I don't know how much it would cost to replace the headliner and if all of the door panels are intact. Nice colors on this car. I read the description one more time and with a rebuilt engine, trans and the ball joints taken care of, this would be something you could drive as you did repairs here and there.

A 59 Olds wagon is definitely unique. This one seems mechanically sorted especially with the rebuilt drivetrain. The current PA state inspection sticker on the windshield is a big plus too because it shows that the important stuff like the brakes, suspension, exhaust, lights and even the frame, floors and glass are all in good shape. But with all the expensive stuff left to be done the seller has come to a crossroads. He knows the paint, bodywork  & interior restoration is going to be very costly. There's a lot of work to be done here if the goal is a show-worthy or even just a presentable restoration. As for big Olds wagons, the 59s & 60s don't do much for me. The styling doesn't work and they're just not attractive enough. The 61 thru 64 wagons are much better looking but probably aren't as collectible as the earlier models. IMO after 1958 the WOW factor is completely gone and the rest are really just big old cars. I still think this 59 wagon is very overpriced given its current condition. As for a buyer, time will tell if that right guy comes along or not.
