1963 Ford Fairlane 500 - Great Driver! - cars & trucks - by owner -... (craigslist.org)
Seller's Description:

1963 Ford Fairlane 500. Car starts and drives great, mechanically very sound. Power drum brakes, stops excellent. 2 sets of keys, all doors lock as they should as well as the trunk. New air filter, new temperature sensor, newer white wall tires, and more, mechanically sound. 1963 owner's manual. Turns heads wherever I go. Good tags. Clean title. Drive this car ANYWHERE, 3 speed on the tree, shifts perfect. Have replacement carpet for the car, in the box ready to be installed. Ford 260ci V8 2-barrel carb with automatic choke. Heat works, factory radio works. No leaks. All in all a good driver and doesn’t need a ton to be a solid show car, no rust! Would trade for a 1960 to 1965 Ford Falcon Ranchero. The price is FIRM, this is a very fair price for a good running classic. Thank you for looking!

This was marketed as a mid-sized car in the '60's. It looks MUCH larger by today's standard. At 180,000 miles, it might be due for some serious maintenance...might not.

A good contrast to getting "less for more" if you buy a current year car.

I like green cars, I like small block Ford V8s, can't get much smaller than this! I had dreams of putting a 260 V8 in my  '70 Mustang to replace the 260 six. That 250 got terrible mileage and the V8 would have all kinds of cool stuff available for it. My first car was a '66 Mustang coupe with 289 and four speed.  It was a 300 dollar car, if I'd spent another 200 bucks I could have had a fastback or convertible!
