XframeFX
I media blast my seat frames and the upholstery shop did not use my zinc spray. But, they used their own rust paint. Your frames don't appear too bad. Tackling the job yourself? I considered doing the rear seat myself but glad I had a shop do it. You'll need hog-ring pliers and hog-rings. Searching this forum will reveal much info on re-doing DIY. A project!
cquisuila
yes i have the pliers and rings i am tackling the job myself made of mazda MX5 (miata for us), audi 80 convertible and disassembled the seat trim on Mercedes clk (for recousing) i will try to show the different steps in pictures i ordered in 2021 the seat upholstery on website https://www.autoobsession.com/seatupholstery1966rivieraseatcover-rear.aspx: autoobsession works with Distinctive Industry so i ordered the bench and they deliivered buckets ! and free they released me the real bench < SO super website : AUTOOBSESSION However, the manufacturing time is still long, around 5 months... I ordered the rear bench on the same website in 08/2023, recieved on 12/2023 and again, by mistake,😁 they delivered others seats (for ford torino) so they have released to me in 02/2024 i just finished the job on 03/2024 so rear and front bench are new now in my riviera 1966 😎 Edited March 12 by cquisuila (see edit history)

telriv
Just for information for those looking to do there own seat repair. DO NOT use coat hanger as it will shortly deform after you start sitting on it. USE THE CORRECT LISTING WIRE as it will NOT deform over the passage of time. The CORRECT stuff is cheap as opposed to other parts as are used on our Rivs. Tom T. Edited March 13 by telriv (see edit history)
