Hershey Lodge receipt from 1989

I forget when we started staying at the Hershey Lodge 1971-72 I'd say. Came across the receipt from our 1989 stay, room rate then was $108.00 for a night. Great fun for the kids when they were little, lots of great memories. Bob

89 was my last year of college………I can remember sleeping in the back of my pick up truck. Back then I was lucky to have gas money to get there. The good old days when traveling ment a Big Gulp, steamed hot dogs, and some potato salad from 7-11………lunch for three bucks all in.

Bob, going rate for the lodge right now I think is $400 a night during AACA week.

That is more than the room we had at Pebble Beach. Funny how priorities change, the swap meet has always been the main feature for me and sleeping on the spot is part of the fun now. Back in the 1970's when the event was on grass people wandered around and shopped in the dark. Now the lights are on all night long on blacktop and few people are walking around after 9:00.

I don't recall the Hershey flea market being on for the whole week/length of time it is now back in the 1970s, so with less time you stayed out looker "lookin".
