zdillinger
Greetings all, I'm more of a Packard man than a Chevrolet guy, but I'm intrigued by this photo of my grandfather. I know it's a Chevrolet Special Deluxe coupe, but is there any way to be sure of the year? My gut says 1941 but, again, I'm not really a Chevrolet guy. Is there a way to tell for sure from this angle? I'd like to add one of these to the fleet eventually. Thanks in advance. Zach D. Dave Henderson
Yes, it's a '41, the best looking Chevrolet of the decade imo.

I've been keeping a casual eye out for one but, sadly, a lot of modified dreck comes up. Hopefully I can find a stock one eventually.
auburnseeker
They come up for sale occasionally. I would think a realistic price range for a decent to nice one is 15-25G. That would be turn key and presentable. If serious, post a wanted ad here and we'll help find you one. Lots of members all over the country here that would be happy to keep an eye out.

Thanks for the tip!
Gunsmoke
I have a friend who has a meticulously frame off restored 1940 Chevrolet 2 door for sale at $25K in Canadian funds (about US$18K) with no takers. Just to suggest a range for this vintage.
DLynskey
Here are a couple I've photographed over the years. Both are loaded with accessories. According to my notes the blue one is a "Special DeLuxe", the red one is a "Master DeLuxe". Don
