Leif in Calif
Probably high given what it needs but it would definitely be a fun car! (bad pictures!) https://orangecounty.craigslist.org/cto/d/gilroy-1939-plymouth-convertible-rumble/7513787932.html 1939 Plymouth convertible with rumble seat. Car is mostly original except for new convertible power top. The car also has an older paint job and drives well. Car does leak water from water pump which I just ordered. Has New cloth wiring. Title in hand $40k 408206146seven
Frank Wilkie
Very nice , don't let the negative talkers discourage you. There seems to be a lot of them on this particular site. I challenge anyone who knocks it to go and find another one of these ..
auburnseeker
Here you go 24 G. h as an overheating problem. I keep thinking about it as I'm a sucker for convertibles and actually like this style. It's not even terribly far from me. Besides every car I buy has problems, why should the next be any different. Would be interesting to see these two side by side for a real comparison.

auburnseeker
There were some other older ads that had more photos as well. It was a running driving car they were trying to sell before. Now it has an overheating problem. Could probably buy it even cheaper. I think they are disgusted and done with it now. Wish it was a tad closer so I could get myself in trouble. Still over 3 hours away through the twisty mountains of VT. I think they were asking 30G before and didn't disclose the scratched buggered up rear fender, so maybe that happened since. I just hope it's inside now. Looks like it's out behind a repair shop. The kiss of death to old cars in the Northeast, especially convertibles, as the rain pours in and stuff gets moldy and rusty inside. Interesting that both cars seem to be the exact same color combinations while at opposite ends of the country.
Brooklyn Beer
Many of these over heating issues in these flat sixes are cured by running straight evapo-rust as coolant for 4 months then yanking the water distribution tube and cleaning, then new evapo-rust for another 4-5 months. The tube gets narrow towards the rear which is wear the temp sender is. It is a very easy fix and not that expensive to replace it if it is rotted out. I bought a totally original 53 Plymouth nobody could get to stop overheating for 1700 bucks and now drive it to work 2 days a week.
auburnseeker
I know that's why that overheating one is tempting. I would bet Evaporust would fix it. I just think whoever he has working on it has given up.
Bruce W
What a neat car to use when delivering mail. I like it.
