Oregon Desert model 45 Posted February 23, 2022 Share Posted February 23, 2022 Those brackets are another part that suffers from age and poor metallurgy. I fabricated a simplified version of the stationary bracket from steel for my 1925 Master. Perhaps a similar fabricated part might work for your 1928. Old26Buick Posted February 27, 2022 Share Posted February 27, 2022 I checked the bracket I have. it is a one piece unit Part # 255690. I couldn't it in old Buick parts catalog. After checking out our two different years the stationary bracket from your car is smaller, by about 10%. Mounting screws, size of the bracket, etc. I appreciate your trying to assist in my project.
