  1. See if these two photos can assist. If you need additional, let me know, Ray. Rod
  2. Ray, do you want it diagonally measured or from one end to the other? One I started looking at it I do see the blind tapped threads. Rod
  3. I'll take a look at doing so. When I first saw the offset I also noticed two holes on the top that had not been drilled through, maybe this was a factory deal, make the choice and drill. Thanks for the idea. I assumed they were pot metal and hadn't considered altering. Rod
  4. In the process of re-building my 1928 Standard Buick Country Club Coupe, I have two right hand side brackets that hold the visor from the pillar. Anyone have a spare left side one? If so I can buy it from you or trade for a right-hand side. Thanks, Rod Miles
  5. Thanks, Oregon Desert. Took my time and was able to engage the cable to the speedo and use the mounting flat clip. All appears fine.
  6. I do have that flat clip and nut to secure it to the speedo. I'll take it all out and try again. Thanks for the in-put, Oregon Desert. I'm in Eugene by the way. Rod
  7. In re-building my 28 Buick Standard, I'm assembling much of the car that had been previously dis-assembled by the previous owner. Question on the speedometer connection... Is there an adaptor that connects the speedometer outlet, round, to the drive cable which is square? Been looking through my spare parts and see nothing. Thanks! Rod Miles Member 48784
  8. I'm in need of the light switch handle located on the steering wheel center. The center insert has been broken/compromised. I also need the ignition on/off handle located on the steering post. If you have one of or both of these items let me know to buy. Thanks, Rod Miles Member 48784
  9. Just received the current relay, Ray. Thanks so much! And with the original info sheet to boot. Rod
  10. Excellent. I've been trying to get mine to work properly and only a portion of it responds. Thanks, Ray. Rod
  11. Looks like we have a match. Tell me the shipping costs and I'll send it your way. I really appreciate this. Thanks, Ray. Rod Miles, 3011 Blacktail Drive, Eugene, Oregon 97405
  12. Thanks, Ray. I'm headed out to pull it out of the car now to compare. Appreciate it. Rod
  13. Yes I will. I'll pull it out tomorrow and post them. Thanks, Rod
  14. Is there a resource for purchasing a current limit switch to fit a 1928 Standard? (located on the inside of the firewall) The one I've got is in rough shape and I'd like to have a clear, rust free one for better conductivity. Thanks! Rod Miles
  15. Thanks to you both. I will double check my brakes. Rod
  16. Have finished the re-build of my Buick Standard 1928 Coupe. Ready to put in the fluids and see if it will fire-up. However, I noticed while on jacks the wheels were locked in, almost like it's in gear. Verified I was in neutral, same thing. Dis-connected the drive line and the same results. What did I miss in re-assembly, why might the rear-end bind-up? Thanks, Rod Miles
  17. Thanks, Kevin. This gives me some good ideas. Nice work on the re-build! Rod
  18. I'm looking to purchase the bracket that holds the Choke and carb heater handles and faceplate in place. This bracket mounts behind the dash. Thanks, Rod Miles 48784
  19. Floyd, I'm interested if you in fact went to a completely different carburetor? I"m interested in parts from your old one? If you want to keep all I understand. However, there is a small arm that links the metering pin to the throttle, I can see it attached to the pin in your second photo above the thumb. Are you interested in selling such parts? Thanks, Rod Miles Buick Member 48784
  20. Thanks, Hugh. Appreciate your getting back to me. Rod
  21. That's great news, Hugh. Thank You! Bell housing and front cover's in place. Ready to bolt on the transmission and back in the car it goes. Rod
  22. Good morning, Hugh. Thanks to the article you forwarded myself on crankshaft and cam gear timing I now have the engine lower half together. My next question, when I place the flywheel on the crank, cylinder one top dead center, it lines-up perfectly with the flywheel marking "1-6" in the inspection hole. It does not line-up with the marking "Adv. 17" as per your article. Does this mean I have in-correctly set the cam/crank gears for timing? Thanks, Rod Miles
  23. Hi, Mick. I am the owner of a 28 Buick 115 inch Standard Country Club Coupe. Are you willing to sell some of the parts or only as a group at this point? Reason, I have some needs on specific engine parts but understand if you want them to go only as a group. Thanks, Rod Miles, Member 49784
  24. I have placed the shims on the mains and the rods.
