Big-D
Hi there everyone. First time poster. I found a old car in the bush last year that has has various pieces robbed off of it over the years. I have the dashboard out of it as was hoping to have a bit of a history to go with it. Here are some pictures of the car and I’m hoping someone could help identify it. I can get a few pics of the dash once I dig it out. Thanks in advance for everyone’s help!

I don’t remember any wood on there but some of the pics were taken by someone else at a different time.

roysboystoys
Where the door closes I had a 29 Hudson, no wood. Maybe my eyes are playing tricks Edited January 29, 2022 by roysboystoys (see edit history)

Maybe my eyes are playing tricks That’s rusted steel. However I can definitely see how it could look like wood. Just the angle of the pic too.
Big-D
The gauges in the gauge cluster in this car look to be fairly round. However in lots of ‘29 Hudson Super 6 pics I’ve seen the gauges are more rectangular with a curved side. I’ll post a few pics of the dash. Just need to dig it out of the shed. Hans1
Left door handle mounting is partially on lower edge of belt line, as Hudson Essex used. The front seat adjuster is visible, the handle to adjust seat appears the same as Hudson Essex used. The door post, which looks like wood to some. has the remains of the long piano hinge method used by Hudson and Essex. Steering gear and oil can mounting bracket (bent up) both are in right position for Hudson and / Essex.

Hans1
I would like to measure the width of the running board, it looks very wide, like Hudson Also, the left rear fender, the width of rear fender, as it protrudes out board from body, seems much wider than the body, as like Hudson. Interesting to consider
