They do still cut glass from your piece as a pattern, but say there’s not enough demand for the use of them any more. You may contact them at 865-522-3131. They may part with them. John McDowell Posted November 30, 2021 Author Share Posted November 30, 2021 Thanks for you input Dave. I too do the glass cutting of flat AS1 and AS2 . Been doing it for years. Having the original glass as a pattern is best. Having to make a pattern out of thin lumber or rigid cardboard is expensive ant time consuming. Would prefer to just be able to pull pattern and get to cutting. Guess I could purchase from your guy, and resale but then I loose the satisfaction of the craft. After all, sure is a dying art. Also have about 50 NAGS books from the late 1930s to 1980s. I've sold our companies and the new owner will not be doing auto glass but he would love to sell the old patterns and books.
