Mjh
My amp gauge shows zero with my engine at idle. With lights on it shows a very slight discharge just to the left of zero. Is this correct?
Matt Harwood
As long as it goes to the positive side once you start accelerating.
Reg Evans
Sounds normal to me. If you bring up the rpm's the gauge should show a little to the + side with the lights on.
StillOutThere
Same operation as my '50 P19.
Macsmopars
I have two 41's your operation sounds like both of those. Key in the on position, my AMP measures left of zero. I look for that to happen every time before I start them. I also use the AMP gauge to adjust my CHOCK settings on a cold start as well.
Macsmopars
Never depend on spell check! I meant to say "adjust my CHOKE settings on a cold start". Sorry!
