  2. If you are still in search of, I can supply this absolutely complete one. Shims and gaskets, and all the stuff usually missing.
  3. And to add to the above. WHY? would you paint over the stainless rocker moldings???!!!
  4. Thanks for all the responses! Still have some left if any interests!

  6. I came upon a couple of hundred of these molding clips that I have used for several completed projects in the past. I can't remember which, or if it was BOTH my 40 and 39 Plymouths I used them on. They are appox. 5/8 inch tall. These are pretty hard to locate I remember. Smaller amounts, $1.25 each. Larger quantities, $1.00 each. Plus shipping to the 50 States. Thank you.

  9. First thing that jumps out to me is the lack of stainless bead fender welt being used. It may sound like a very small oversite, but when it's installed, like it was in 1941, it really adds tremendously to the overall look of the car.
  10. Refreshing to see such an original! Heavy restraint needed for me not to pull the trigger on this one!
  11. Maybe hang the rear of the sedan over the back door of the mall....
  12. I had a 1939 convertible that had the column shift. It was a royal P.I.T.A. This one year only, cable and rod system ALWAYS needed adjustments. Once you got it to shift "right" you found that first gear position had you slammed into the steering wheel! Ugh.
  13. Neat, factory two-toned paint! Also, the super uncommon stainless package that surrounds the door windows!!! Cool! Add could use another 50 pictures though......
  14. B Jake Moran makes several good points above. I still have to say that IF the dealer tag was added to the car between the time the car was purchased, and the time the original owner picked the car up I would be upset. This year, I purchased a new car. Agreed on a price. They prepped the car for me over a day or two then called me in to inspect the car and purchase. I noticed an additional $1300.00 added to the agreed price. They explained it was for "nitrogen in the tires, and Arizona tinting to the already factory tinted windows". I refused the car because of this and got up to just simply leave. Of coarse this drew attention, but this was not my intention, I was simply making a point. Bottom line, they removed the extra tinting, and left the nitrogen in the tires(a $60.00 per tire charge) . I went ahead with the purchase... My point being, get what you pay for, forget the added items even if they are as benign as a "free" dealer tag.
  15. Imagine, buying this car new then noticing that the Dealership drove two sheet metal screws into your trunk lid to advertise. 🤬
  16. Don't buy it!!! I started out with "1" and you should see me now!!!
  17. I can supply an NOS Drivers Side Front Fender, and I have two nice used Drivers side rears. Shipping is expensive, so consider this. I am located just South of Flagstaff, AZ. if this is close to you for a pick-up.
  18. Fluted wheel trim rings missing as well. This COULD be a running board delete car. As it does seem to sport the rubber entry mat, and what looks to be the original R/B delete stainless moldings.
  19. Wondering.....How many times do you think that car jumped forwards when the driver "thought" it was in reverse, but actually was NOT! Secret....I bet it would happen to me!!!
  20. Letting the four photos that are attached speak for themselves. One is NOS (the cleaner and conditioner can) and the others are used. These make a super nice display either in your garage or as a trunk display. ALL are original. Wanting to sell as a Lot. Asking price is $350.00 plus shipping. P.M. me with any questions, and include your email, I will return your email as promptly as possible. I will mark this add as SOLD once the items are purchased. Thank you for your interests.
  21. auburnseeker. It is funny how the fact that even back in 39 there was not too many of these produced, but you now have choices as to which one you want! Mine was sold to a fellow in Burbank, CA. I sold it while I was still living back in PA. Once to fellow received the car, I never heard from him again. Not that he had some sort of obligation to keep in touch, but more that I was just curious how much he liked it being he bought it from photos. Overheating was never an issue with mine, but then again I never did any extensive driving with it either. I have a good friend in the Philadelphia area that still has his. He sunk a TON of money into it, but, it is his baby so the funds ran limitless....
