Trico Visionall Switch

Thank you for the photo. This is supposed to be one but it looks much different from yours. How does it work? Is there one vacuum line for each half of the windshield or something else? Also, the knob or piston appears to be missing.

A Trico visionall switch is the most difficult part to find for any Cadillac in the early 30s. It took me 17 years to find one. And it’s not my first rodeo.

Steve, the knob portion looked the same as Wayne’s. It was two positions, and the back side I can’t remember. If you over tighten them they snap off...........just tighten them with your fingers.........even just a bit of torque with any tool will make them fail.

This is what they look like. I have one that I’m rebuilding at the moment. Let me know if you are in need of one.

This is exactly what my 1931 LaSalle Sedan has..... but I am missing the entire Trico Visionall unit  that goes outside under the visor cap... should anybody have an extra one. Oh, and I need the two wipers also.

Thanks,

Victor

Victor,

The Visionall units come in various widths. Make sure you measure carefully and get the right one for your car. The wiper arms are simple wires that are used to attach regular Trico blades.

Thank you, Steve! 45" wide is what I will be looking for!

Thanks for the info and for the pics. At this point, that I am trying to learn about them, it is great information! Thanks again!

Thank you, Steve!! Very helpful.

I can't see well because of the measuring tape, but it appears my LaSalle had slightlly different attaching parts. I am attaching 3 pics of what I have up there under the visor... the two sides plus the vaccum tubes...

Thank you very much, Steve!

I guess I could change mine and use any supporting bracket needed, as long as the tube comes in 45" wide. I hope to find one soon, even if it does not work and have it there at least for the looks.

I have some others but they are all too short for your needs. They all have the same kind of brackets which are part of the wiper not separate brackets.
