Packardfrank
I have a 1932 model Nash that had its interior redone some years ago in the proper wool material. At the bottom of the door panels are two small holes about the size of a nickel. These panels are near perfect otherwise. Is there a “trick” to patching or covering these minor holes. What can be done to clean minor stains on these panels? Thank You
Grimy
Look for "reweaving" services if they still exist--used for repairs of expensive suits. If you find such a service, you'd need to show photos or the actual car to the vendor, then find selvage (extra fragments of material) from where seat cushion material wraps around the underside of the seating surface. And most likely, you'll have to remove the door panels.
JFranklin
Reweaving brought to mind a story my mother told me. When she was a young woman she worked in a shop where they repaired pricy furs by replacing worn/missing guide hairs among other fixes.
41 Su8
If you remove the door panel you will probably find enough material folded over on the back side of the panel. Cut off a small piece an d sew it by hand over the hole. Try to match the pattern. Try to put the edges of the patch underneath the edges of the hole.
John_Mereness
As to stains - look for a mobile dry cleaning or drapery cleaning service
