The Tillotson type YR-1B had ZERO original applications.

 

This was a "universal" sold mainly through Western Auto, Warshawski, J. C. Whitney, etc. as a disposable unit (use it if you can, until you can't, then throw it away) to those customers too frugal to purchase a gasket set for their original carburetor.

 

This unit does have one redeeming feature, the cast iron throttle body. The throttle bodies may be cut above the flange, but below the throttle shaft. Two of these can then be placed at 90 degrees to each other, welded together, and produce a cross-flange adapter. The other remains may be recycled.
