1912Staver
A reasonably sought after accessory, unfortunately it looks like some pretty heavy pitting in areas. The tanks are generally fairly thin gauge material. Greg

edinmass
Often seen on trucks also.........but great for cars out in the middle of nowhere pre 1930. Three factory installed cans on a 1932 Duesenberg.......chrome......of course.

That's quite possible, it's hard to tell if that end with the pitting is the bracket or the tank itself. The one filler neck does not look too healthy. thehandleman
well either restore for man cave and paint the cans like the ad says with stencil of gas oil water and shelf it for conversation, but it would be real cool conversation piece at car shows on your running boards can you dream taking a touring car across route 66 in the teens or 20's and almost making the gas stop and ran out, but with the extra gallon and half maybe its makes the ride to the station. Cheers LOL
Grimy
In those days, the gas gauge was mounted on the tank itself, not the instrument panel. I make a habit of walking by the tank-mounted gauge whenever we stop.
