Family touring in Western Australia

G'day from Western Australia. Friends have asked me to help identify the vehicle in this photo found in an old family album.

After scrutinizing many photos online and attention to the wooden spoke wheels, curved rear fender, wrap around roof lining, rear gas tank? and worn spare wheel my guess at this stage is a 1926 Chrysler Phaeton or 1925 Maxwell Tourer.

Any help to narrow it down further will be greatly appreciated. At this stage we don't know when the photo was taken.

That rear fender profile looks more like 1929-31.

That hood looks like a Buick which was copied from a Packard

It looks like the 1927 Buick Standard Six ticks all the boxes. Thanks for your help.

Not an expert, but the lady’s clothing looks early 1930s to me. If so, and if it is a 1927 Buick then I’d expect the car to be 4 to 7 years old at the time the photo was taken.

 

There are others that are more into the fashions of the era than I, so maybe one of them could chime in.
