I love early architecture ( masonry, wood, etc) as much as i like the cars of the same era. I taught a "gifted and talented" class in architecture to 10 to 12 year old kids for 30 years once a week, for the local elementary school and parochial school kids. We not only studied the styles but the final project was to build a scale model house on a 18 by 18 inch cardboard base to scale with wood, cardboard etc. I also started and wrote the law for the Architectural Committee here in the village I live in about 40 + years ago. That did not please a lot of the "investors" who were looking to tear down a grand old Victorian house so they could subdivide the property and put up two modern "high ranch" type of structures.
