1956 Chevrolet Carryall woodie wagon by J.T. Cantrell

Recommended Posts

Need to get updated photos of this rare woodie. The rear panels and trunk are nearly done and starting the work on the door frames. ALL wood is being replaced.

Hood, bumpers and grill are being sent out for sandblasting then paint.

This is is my Grandpas (84) project. Believed to be a one of a kind. Only 4 made in 1955, yet to find another made in 56’

Any info on this vehicle would be appreciated!

48wooddy, that is a very interesting truck. Cantrell was nearing the end when your Carryall  was built.  Walt Gosden is the fellow that you might want to get in touch with about your Chevy and the Cantrell Company. He has a lot of information on the company. Good luck with the restoration. thanks, John.

Ash wood and my Grandpa who’s 84 is completing the frame off restoration and woodwork restoration.

Do do you have Walt Gosden’s phone number or email?

Mad respect.  Hopefully that's me in 31 years...
