Rusty176
Has anyone ever fitted twin downdraft single barrel carbs to a Studebaker flathead six looks like it could be done fairly easy ?
stude24
Bill Cathcart of CT was well know for his modification of Studebaker flat head six engines, including dual carbs. Sadly Bill passed away last year, but his legacy lives on. Here is a link to an article on him from HMN: https://www.hemmings.com/blog/article/bill-cathcart/
Cowtown Commander
What 6 cylinder engine are you wanting the dual carb arrangement for - the champion or the Commander 6?
Aussi John 1
Have you thought about fitting a dual thought Stromberg WW. They are on Larks and a multitude of other cars.

(S)
Not many aftermarket or custom manifolds for that engine, however- it can be done, just take your time . Have a spare manifold just in case. Very cool car!
Rusty176
Yeah they will fit original manifold just need adaptors about 3 inches high will post pics when I do it 😉
DFeeney
Hello Rusty ,Check out the attached pictures. I turned the exhaust manifold upside down which let me bring the exhaust out to the header below the intake manifold. I then added 2 carbs to the intake. I turned them 90 degrees so the float bowls were not above the exhaust manifold. I am not the first person to do this. The carbs bolted right on. Life is good, Don
