Str8-8-Dave
Hi to all; I have 2 Buick screw-on hubcaps that are styled like 1931 artillery wheel caps but larger overall. Below are pictures with measurements of major diameter, thread diameter and overall height of a 1931 hubcap followed by same measurements for the mystery caps that I have. Does anyone know what these were used on? The mystery caps are very nice driver quality caps I will sell with some scratches and very minor pitting. I need 3 equally nice driver quality caps for my 31 66S with artillery wheels which measure like the pictures marked "1931". Thanks in advance... 50jetback
1930 used the same cap. 1930 40 Series was smaller than the 1930 Senior Series cars.
Str8-8-Dave
Hi Stuart- Thanks for this. That makes sense. Pete Phillips- Here is a picture of a 32 60 series artillery wheel. Looks like it's not the same as the larger hubcap in my original post. would they maybe still have used the larger hubcap in my first post on 50 series cars? If not I think 32 is out of the running.... Thanks guys... Dave
Robert Engle
All 32 Buick caps had the double vertical bar on the B. 31 and earlier had the single vertical bar on the B Bob Engle
Str8-8-Dave
Thanks Bob- I'm starting to think the larger of the 2 caps was unique to 1930 senior series cars with artillery wheels...
