Pete Phillips
9.375? What does it do, climb trees?
BUICK RACER
Is this a 9.38 from a 66 Riv? Or Wildcat?
EmTee
I'm confused -- 'spider gears implies an open (non-positraction) rear end. Positraction would use a clutch pack in place of spider gears.
Fritzi
I'm sorry, you are right. It got a clutch pack. I bought a complete 9.375 rear end with broken gears inside and now I want to rebuild it. After that I want to put it under my 69 Riviera.
Brad Conley
Monzaz (username) on V8Buick.com would be your only hope. That rear end is not supported by any aftermarket vendor.

What he's talking about is a 9 3/8" rear end (size of ring gear) common on full size Buick's, Olds' etc in the mid 60's through mid 70's and not the ratio. A VERY strong rear axle used in most (all?) full size with big block engines. 350's most commonly used the 8.5" (ring gear) sized rear end in those full size cars equipped as such. There is zero aftermarket support for these rear ends and used/NOS parts are his only hope. The guy I mentioned above is his best chance for these parts.

Fritzi
Thank you, I've wrote him 👍. My last idea if I don't find anything is to produce a small batch for my self
Brad Conley
You would probably be able to sell several sets, especially gears in the 3.23-3.42:1 range.
Fritzi
No, I don't need the ring and pinion gears. Only the small inside. They are not so complex, because there are only gears with straight tooths. But that's the last option for me.
Guest
I may have that diff out already, but I'm not extra working to sell inside parts. The complete thing only. If your interested I'll go out in my 100 degree 100% humidity building and photo for verification. Thanks ahead for your response!
Auburncoupe
Thought I would throw this one out. I have this one under a '72 Riv. No idea of the ratio. No idea if this is what you are asking for.

Thank you, but I'm from Germany and it's very expensive to get another complete rearend shipped to me. That's why I'm tryIng to find only the gears. Auburncoupe
It is a posi. I would sell the entire assembly. Write me a private message is you are interested. Thank you.
Fritzi
Thanks, but I only searching for the gears.
EmTee
Installing the guts from a used axle into another carrier and not having gear whine when finished is a non-trivial task. All of the rotating components have worn-in based on their original clearances when new. I know you don't want to hear this, but replacing the entire axle assembly as a unit is best. Fritzi
I know what you mean. Because of this I‘m serchung for a all 4 gears and a heartbolt. There are a few sets aviable for GM but I think they don‘t fit.
