Pete Phillips
Can someone help me identify this part? Was in a box of other 1940s Buick parts. About 8 inches tall and about 3 inches wide. Pete Phillips, BCA #7338

auburnseeker
A wild guess would be some kind of a bumper end cap or finish panel maybe even something like for inside a wagon gate? It looks like cadmium plated with a stainless steel cap so it's meant to be decorative as well. GM stopped using that packaging in about the mid 50's so it's that or earlier. Glassesguy
Any group or part number on the box? Looks like the end flap is gone, though.
Pete Phillips
No numbers on the box, otherwise I would have looked it up long ago. The deceased former owner did have a '56 Buick wagon, but it was in a box with a bunch of 1940s parts. He also had a '49 and some '42s.
