There is an photo illustration of a mirror in the accessory section of the 1928-33 Plymouth Master Parts List that appears to be a clamp on mirror.

Wow, much better than the Dodge MPL, which has very few pictures and drawings. The best I have seen are my 1934-46 Studebaker manuals - there are lots of pictures and line drawings. e.g. each year and model's hub caps are illustrated.
