gwells
Thought I would post a link to my report on my wonderful experience at the 32nd annual New London to New Brighton Old Car Tour in Minnesota a few weeks back. Graham Man
Great story, hard to believe it is in my backyard. Maybe I can borrow a friends car to participate. Wish I could take my modern car, but 1928 is just too new, only 90 years old. Just about gave myself a heart attack trying to drive a '27 Model T. It is hard to get used to driving with a new configuration of pedals and levers; would not want to do it with other cars around.
oldcarfudd
I couldn't go this year, but I've done the run three times; twice with a single-cylinder Cadillac and once (last year) with a Stanley. I do a lot of brass-car touring, and this tour is one of the very best.
cxgvd
Agreed, one the best. For those in and around Mich. a smaller event is the Lansing to Dearborn Endurance run (LDR), 36 cars this year. Thursday, Sept 6 we depart from Greenfield Village in Dearborn, drive 100 miles to Lansing, stay over and return Friday. Followed by the Old Car Festival. around 800 pre-1932 vehicles Saturday and Sunday at the Henry Ford Greenfield Village. Many of the cars from Minn. will be in Mi., including the '07 Darracq. pictured in the story in the link. Regards, Gary
