I need instructions on removing my 'CRT SCREEN'-so I can 'test' another CRT screen

 

Do I need to disconnect the battery?

 

Are there lots of wires to remove from the back?

it just unbolts once you remove the trim.

Always disconnect the battery when working on electrical items, you will avoid lots of potential troubles that way.

Start by prying off the cover for the center panel of the instrument cluster.....it is just held in place with spring clips....pull from the bottom 

When that is removed....you will see screws that hold the left and right cover bezels....remove screws and the trim bezels sort of hinge out away from the dash.

With the bezel removed you will see the screws that hold the CRT

Are two connectors on the back, one for touchscreen overlay and other for CRT. Shown are both Reatta (silver) and Riviera (gold). They interchange.

Major problem with used is that the crt often has burn-ins not visible when off unless you remove the touchscreen.
