tripwire
Old family picture my neighbor would like to find out what kind of car his ancestors owned. All help will be appreciated. Wes in VT
keiser31
Overland. It says so on the side of the hood top. Looks to be a 1914 or so. Here is a similar model except for the round fuel tank on the rear instead of the oval tank on the car in question...
tripwire
Well you did it again, Keiser31! Your eyesight is better than mine. Try as I might I couldn't make out the writing on the nameplate.
oldcarfudd
The one in the OP's picture is a year or two older, since it has gas headlamps and oil sidelamps.

Matt Harwood
Amazing, as always, Keiser. I tip my hat to you, sir! Can we please get a "Stump Keiser" challenge going? There has to be some blurry, long-distance photo taken at night of a one-of-a-kind car built in Uzbekistan that he can't instantly identify. 2
nzcarnerd
For anything Willys/Overland I always refer to this page - http://www.wokr.org/gallery/GALLERY1.HTM The car here is one of these - http://www.wokr.org/gallery/O_139.htm - 1912 Model 59R
nzcarnerd
Looking through the photos of that 1912 roadster a question occurs - what is the third lever for? Obviously two are gears and brake. I once drove a friend's 1913 Overland touring and the main thing I remember as different was the gas pedal - it moved sideways instead of up and down.
